Shopping for Accessories!
I recently had the pleasure of taking one of my good clients shopping for accessories at one of my favorite whole sale stores. These smart clients have moved quite a few times already due to their work, so they knew from experience that hiring me to do the finishing touches was just as important as the rest of design work we did.
When I have a shopping appointment with clients it’s always fun and very productive! I have prepared a list of what we are shopping for with sizes and photos so we don’t miss a thing. I enjoy the process of collaborating with my clients, because I get a chance to educate them a little and hone in on exactly what will work best.
While shopping for our list of needed accessories we found the perfect bedside lamp for their master bedroom. This store had a few good options but once we put the all of them next to one another along with a photo of the room, our choice was clear. This lamp we chose would have a nice airy feeling with mirrored base and the shade would coordinate with the other fabrics in the room perfectly.
There are so many reasons to hire a designer to help you with all the finishing touches of your home. Mainly you know that what you are buying is the right thing instead of an expensive mistake. I take the stress and hassle out of the equation when I help my clients. They also benefit from discount prices; whenever possible I give 20% off retail which adds up to big savings for my clients. On this shopping trip my clients also benefited from the instant gratification of driving home with a car full of goodies to finish off their home.
I love shopping with my clients. We always find great stuff and have a good time in the process! I really love my job!
