I love area rugs and feel they are a “must have.” Let’s look at the great BEFORE and AFTER photos of a client’s recent installation. These images really demonstrate the power of a good area rug. Here the Top #3 of reasons to have an area rug:
- A functional area rug is warm and soft on your feet. In addition, area rugs help diffuse noise, thereby making your home more quiet for everyone.
- Area rugs add color and pattern to a monochromatic space and they provide great opportunities—as I like to say—to “marry” your color scheme. Example: you have yellow sofas and blue draperies. When you buy an area rug that incorporates yellow and blue, you coordinate the draperies and sofas and unify the room.
- It is easy to see in the BEFORE and AFTER photo how finished the room looks when the area rug is placed under the furniture. Without the rug, the furniture looks lonely and almost like it floats. With the rug, the room looks complete and the furniture is grounded.
