Happy Home, Happy Life

Happy Home, Happy LifeZiccardi-Bed-close-up-other

Did you know that good interior design equals happiness?   I know that it is my life’s purpose to ensure that all people love where they live.   I have discovered that there are a lot of people who really don’t understand why it’s important.  Interior design is so much more than pretty spaces or impressing your neighbors; it can mean the difference between having a good day or a bad one.  You may ask, how can your home make or break a good day?  Allow me to walk you through just one of many scenarios:ugly bedroom

Bad Day – You awake in the morning feeling tired because your mattress has seen better days and had you tossing and turning all night.  Getting ready for work in the morning is frustrating, since you can’t find the things you need quickly or easily making you late getting out the door.  The poor lighting in your room has you wondering if you have one navy sock and one black sock on again.  As you’re driving to work, you ponder if Ted, the brown nosing guy in your office, will make a comment on your mixed-matched socks;  a car cuts you off, you hit all the red lights, and you have decided it’s going to be one of “those days” again.  And if that’s not bad enough, you’ve managed to get through your work day only to come home to a place that should be warm and welcoming , but instead makes you feels like more work needs to be done and you just can’t be bothered.

What could have been your experience?  Allow me to paint that picture for you:DSC_2696

Good Day – You awake feeling rested after a wonderful night’s sleep in your comfortable bed with the nice sheets and comforter that you’re so glad you splurged on.  Not only are they comfortable, but they also make you smile every time you look at them.  Getting ready for work is a breeze, since the layout of your bathroom and closet has been carefully designed with your needs in mind.  You were able to find everything you needed since everything was exactly where it should have been.  Your well-lit, organized closet helped you choose the perfect outfit for the day, so you look amazing.   You have a few, extra minutes to enjoy your coffee before heading out to work, since getting ready was a breeze.  Knowing that you are running on time, the car that cuts you off only serves to remind you that you were so lucky to not get into an accident.  Your day at work was fine, and as you arrive home, your shoulders drop and you sigh with relief, because you love where you live.Ziccardi LRFOR SLIDE SHOW
