Designer Tip: PAINT YOUR CEILINGS
As an interior designer, I am enjoying seeing more people paint their ceilings than ever before. It often surprises me when new clients react to the idea as if it were too daring. They may feel this way because they have never done it or even seen it before, but this trend is popping up more and more frequently.
Think of the ceiling is the 5th wall of you room, and then the idea of painting it might make more sense. Painting your ceilings can do so much for your room. It makes your ceilings look higher, enhances your moldings and adds another place for color and texture.
Wallpapering your ceiling is another excellent option. It has everything paint has to offer and more: Color, pattern, and texture; the possibilities are endless.
Yet another option for enhancing the look of your ceilings is to insert wall decals. Wall decals come in many shapes and styles and a variety of colors. If you like the idea of decorating your ceilings, but you also like to change things up on a regular basis, then wall decals might be the right solution for you. They add so much yet are completely removable, so you don’t have to make a big commitment the same way you would with wallpaper.
