Bring nature in doors where ever you can. Nothing brightens up a room like fresh flowers or a potted plant. Plants can elevate your mood and soften up a room. In my designs I love to have a little green ivy on top of tall pieces of furniture either alone or with decorative accessory.
If you are allergic or you have pets that will make themselves sick eating your plants, there are some wonderful alternatives. There are some very convicting fake plants and flower arrangements out there. One of the best on the market is made by a company call NDI. They could fool a florist into believing they’re the real thing. An added bonus to fake planks is they will never die, so you only have buy them once.

12 Jul 2013I have always loved nature and bringing it in doors is really a very good idea. You get to enjoy a beautiful scenery from the comfort of your sofa without having to go outside. However, there are many factors that you need to consider before bringing the flowers and plants in. You have to ensure you have a plate below the plant to contain the water to avoid the water from dripping and ruining your floor. You also have to consider placing the plants nearer to the doors or windows where there is sunlight. Lastly, plants give out carbon dioxide at night, thus do not place close to where you will be sleeping.
