What to do with a Tray Ceiling?
Do you have a tray ceiling somewhere in your home that you don’t quite know what to do with? Ignoring it is not the answer! I see a lot of homes with this missed opportunity. The right paint color and decorative treatment will show of your room’s height and architectural features.
My client’s bedroom had a tray ceiling that was screaming out for a decorative touch. Straight paint color was not enough to enhance this room. In order to really appreciate the room’s tray ceiling it was necessary to add an artist touch.
I called in Inga Belozerova of Michelangelo Decorative Painting to add a beautiful decorative scrolled molding look done in a trompe l’oeil style. Trompe l’oeil for those unfamiliar with this term is a style of painting that is meant to fool the eye into believing that the painting is truly 3 dimensional or real.
This added artwork has enhanced the room’s tall ceiling that also makes the room seem bigger. The incredible artwork that Inga has added truly gave the room a scene of grandeur.
