Master Bedroom Suite
This master bed room is dramatic even in the neural based taupe and brown color scheme. With its high upholstered headboard and luxurious bedding from Wildcat Territory texture plays a big role added interest and depth.
The biggest challenge in this room was the window treatments, but the design solution I came up with turned out to be by favorite part of the room. The client wanted to make use of the 2 drapery panels and 1 valance from their previous home, but they didn’t have any more of that fabric so I had to get creative.
I came up with the solution of adding a custom valance of an asymmetrical swag and jabot in a textured solid with a tassel trim on the edges to compliment the drapery fabric. This allowed me to use their panels while also framing the focal point of the bed perfectly and enhanced the beauty of the room. I then used the valance from their previous home that wouldn’t fit on any of their new windows as the center fabric of cornices for the master bathroom and closet. This gave the whole master suite a unified and coordinated look.
The classic traditional cherry casegoods add warmth to room with the mahogany finish. The area rug was made from broadloom, cut and bound to the right size, it’s a soft place for my client to land their feet each morning. The area rugs subtle pattern in taupe and cream add a layer of interest without being busy.
The whole room works beautiful together in a soft and subtle way to create a relaxing retreat.
