Making Good Use of What You Already Have
I recently helped a client to find the perfect dining room chairs, which as it turns out were already in her dining room. Sometime the right answer to your design dilemma is reupholstering what you already have.
My client had beautiful Country French chairs from Century, which were not exactly what she wanted. The cane back chairs were bit casual for her new formal dining room. With the magic of reupholster we transformed her chairs from country to appropriately elegant and perhaps best of all it cost half the price of buying new chairs!
The fabrics we chose perfectly coordinated with the gorgeous Persian silk and wool area rug we had picked out. I always love the look of using two fabrics on dining room chairs. I tend to find a bolder print for the front of chair and a more subtle fabric to coordinate on the back side of the chair. It creates more interest for a true designer look.
It’s very possible that you too could make the most of what you already have and save money in the process. Reupholster could be the answer for you too.
