Hot Trend – Fancy Hardware

I just got back from High Point, North Carolina’s furniture market, and the hottest trend I noticed was unique, decorative hardware on every chest and night stand. Decorative knobs were in every show room, adding interest and personality to every piece with a drawer or door. Everything from Gingko leaves, sparkling crystals, mother of pearl and every shape and finish imaginable dazzled my eye.

These decorative knobs were like the jewelry of each piece. Design is in the details, and these details do not disappoint. For all the DIY and Upcycle friends out there – think about changing out the knob on an old tired piece. It could breathe new life into and make you love it all over again.
