The Best Way to Display Family Photos
We all have treasured memories from special times and events that we captured on camera. Sometimes they are professionally photographed and printed up beautifully in large format, and sometimes they are photos we take ourselves. Either way, the best way to display these is the same: grouped together and framed similarly.
Having the same color frame for all photos grouped together in an area is the simplest way to create a gallery look. Without this your collection of cute, different frames and photo will look like a bunch of visual clutter to your eye, not good.
I recently helped a client to create a gallery wall of their sons great photos, (his picture has been blurred for his privacy). They had wonderful professional photos of him growing up that really deserve to be displayed somewhere predominantly. I choose to create a gallery wall of his photos grouped together on one wall. I placed them asymmetrically to leave room for a few more to be added easily as he grows up, and all framed in dark wood frames. It makes a great statement in their family room that they can appreciate every day.
