The Future is Bright with LED’s
Are you among the few who are hoarding incandescent light bulbs? Afraid of the future without the “old fashion” light bulb? Or did you even know that the US has passed a Bill that stopped all production of the light bulb we all grew up with?
There is no need to worry, the world of LED lights has come a long way since they were first introduced and are improving every day. They are quickly advancing the technology so that LED light bulbs are getting cheaper and the light color they give off softer and warming.
The best part of LED light bulbs is the life span; it’s about 50,000 hours’ vs only 1200 hours to the old incandescent bulb. This will save you money two fold, firstly you will be buying a lot less light bulbs and secondly your electricity bill will benefited as well.
When shopping for your new LED light bulbs I recommend for residential homes to look for 2200-2700 Kelvin. This has to do with the light temperature that the bulb will put out, or CRI (color rendering index). The 2200-2700 reading will be marked on the packaging and be a gentle white light.
The future is bright with LED’s! We are already seeing more technology in the home, and LED lighting is a big part of that. Implementing systems into our homes will be the new standard within a few years. Computerized systems will have our light turning on when we enter a room and off when we leave. It will give us the ability to control our lights remotely and so much more. The future is here and moving fast every day.
