Meeting Sarah Richardson from HGTV
I recently had the honor of meeting Sarah Richardson from HGTV! I love Sarah’s TV shows and her whole design sense. She is my favorite designer on HGTV hands down! If you are not familiar with her TV shows, I recommend checking out Sarah’s House and Sarah’s Summer House if HGTV re-runs those episodes again. She just finished another TV series, but right now it’s only airing on HGTV Canada. Let’s hope it gets picked up for the American audience!
I was fortunate to be able to meet Sarah while attending the “What’s New, What’s Next” design event at the NY Design Center at 200 Lexington. It was a great event with many fabulous speakers and exciting new products. Sarah launched a collection of fabrics that she designed for Kravet fabrics. Her prints are beautiful and soft, and I’m sure I’ll be including them in my future design projects.
Sarah’s approach and design philosophy are very similar to my own. She understands that each client’s personality and lifestyle are key to the overall success of the design project. I enjoyed her talk and learning more about how she got to where she is today. I am pleased to report that Sarah is a beautiful person both inside and out. I could tell from the short time I spent in her presence that although she has reached a level of fame, she has remained a wonderful, down to earth person.
