Interior designers are most well-known for creating luxury, beauty and comfort. I feel blessed to bring these elements into people’s homes. I do love this definition of luxury: “conducive to sumptuous living, usually a delicacy, elegance, or refinement of living rather than a necessity,” which I found at dictionary.com. Luxury goes beyond the necessity and into the extraordinary.
Beauty has meaning to us on a personal level. It can be said that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, which, to me, says that we personally connect with an object of beauty on a spiritual level. Beauty is hard to define in words, but beauty brings us pleasure and satisfaction simply by our gazing upon it.
Comfort to us in the modern world has become necessary. Being comfortable is to be content, at ease, even consoled. Lounging on a comfortable chair after a long day brings a sigh of relief and almost instant relaxation.
Bringing luxury, beauty, and comfort to my clients is my job and my privilege. I am honored to be called upon to help people to love where they live.
