Finishing Touches Make All the Difference
Accessorizing can be the most important step in making your house feel like your home. The finishing touches placed in the right spots like art, mirrors, and plants can make all the difference in the world. Your home can quickly become cozy, warm and reflect the personality of the people who live there. Without that last layer a home looks and feels sterile and incomplete. Without art the walls it looks as if no one lives there.
I offer a finishing touches design package to my clients weather I have designed the room or been brought in after. Some clients contact me for only this last step to finish off their home. It takes a trained eye and good deal of experience to get this crucial part right.
Once the furniture is in, the finishing touches can be added. That way you know where to hang art and place all the accent pieces. Most clients already have some accent pieces that I can use, and then we fill in the places that are still needed.
As a designer I have access to some fantastic sources that offer wide selection and discount prices! Whenever possible I take the client shopping with me, so that together we find just the right pieces to finish off their home.
Whatever we don’t find while shopping together is then something that I research, and then present to a client later. It takes a great deal of research time to find the right fit. In order to show a client the 3 best options I will have research multiple companies, priced things out, and eliminate the majority of what I see to narrow it down to the best options. This saves the client from the time and hassle of all that searching, plus they know it will coordinate with their home and not be a regretful mistake.
